Short Time hotels exist in many countries in Asia. I've experienced them in the Philippines and Thailand. A short time hotel is usually on a street off of a main rd. and it is sometimes in plain view of a neighborhood.
A "Short Time" hence the name allows you to rent a room in a small motel for 1-2 hours. Prices range from 100 bht to 600 bht at times. Normally it is very cheap.
Quality of the rooms range from really nice to disgusting.
A room for about 300 bht will sometimes include a large bed, mirrors on the walls, including the ceiling. It may have a real nice bathroom with big shower stall so more than 4 people can take a shower together. Sofas, chairs, piped in music. Pillows, sheets but no blankets. Good air con flowing. Secluded and quiet.
